Friday we got an early start with Krysti Brice, our guide for a walking tour (Old Town) and expat who has lived in Prague for about 20 years - and she's originally from Macon, Georgia! Krysti met us at our apartment building to begin the tour. After about three hours of walking and learning so much about this old part of the city, we had lunch at a Krysti-recommended restaurant - delicious!
The weather is beautiful here, about 58 to 60 degrees during the day - perfect for sightseeing. Prague is a great city for walking and there are tram lines less than a block from the apartment. People are friendly, and a lot of tourists in this area of town.
Saturday, we headed over to Prague Castle to see the complex including St. Vitus Cathedral and part of the grounds and gardens. After lunch at an outdoor garden cafe, we continued our exploring including a visit to the Tesco grocery store (big). The food is is very good, and the dumplings, too.
